Stake Movement Tracker Analyzing Validator Flows

About This Dashboard

Track how stake moves between validators over time. This dashboard compares stake snapshots between two epochs and uses advanced transfer tracking to identify the actual movement paths:

  • Redelegations: Stake moving from one validator to another by the same withdrawer
  • New Stakes: Net increase in active stake (fresh capital, reactivated stake, or crossing the threshold)
  • Exits: Net decrease in active stake (deactivating, withdrawn, or dropping below threshold)
  • Transfer Linking: Uses ElasticSearch to find SOL transfers between addresses, connecting "Exited" stake to "New Stake" flows when the same capital moves between validators via different withdrawers
  • Multi-hop Tracking: Finds indirect transfer paths (e.g., A→B→C) using breadth-first search, excluding known exchanges/intermediaries to avoid false positives
  • Whale Activity: Large movements (100k+ SOL) that significantly impact validators

How It Works: We compare snapshots from 30 days ago to today, calculating net flows per withdrawer. When stake exits one validator and new stake appears on another, we query on-chain SOL transfers to determine if they're connected. This reveals capital flowing between validators even when withdrawer addresses change. You can adjust the max hops to control how many intermediary addresses we traverse (1 query = 2 hops due to bidirectional expansion).

Important: "New Stake" doesn't necessarily mean brand new capital - it includes stake that was deactivated/below threshold before our start epoch and is now active. Similarly, Exited includes stake that may simply be inactive or has not yet been redelegated, as well as moves to custody services etc. Click on withdrawer addresses to see complete stake account timelines, or click "Flow" buttons on linked transfers to see the exact transaction path with signatures.
